Usage & licensing
How the photos from a shoot may be used. These terms apply to the prices listed on Photo Shoot. Author rights apply to the photos and they are owned by the author; to use photos with a recognizable face or unique identification marks in any way, a Model Release is signed by the model.
Standard terms (included in price)
We reserve the right to use your photos for:
- selling physical prints (limited editions, alternative techniques — see Handmade Prints)
- NFT
- exhibitions and publications
- portfolio, web and social media
Exceptions
If a particular shot didn't go as agreed (e.g. something visible that shouldn't be), we will withdraw it from use. Time- or location-limited usage is recorded in the model release.
Private licence — when you want to limit use
The standard price is lower because we keep broad rights to use the photos. The more you restrict those rights, the more you pay — you're buying back our ability to monetize and publish them. Restrictions can be tied to "recognizable" photos only (the ones where you're identifiable — you pick them); abstract light images stay with us. Everything is recorded in the model release.
- Discreet — no web or social media and no name; exhibitions still allowed. Sale of identifiable prints limited (e.g. 10 years, then anonymised only).
- Private — only non-identifiable (abstract) shots shown publicly; recognizable ones aren't sold or published. For one generation (~25 years); exhibitions still allowed.
- Exclusive — full buyback — we use nothing: no sales, publication or exhibitions, for one generation (~25 years).
Prices are set individually by how much you restrict — from ~40,000 CZK upward. Get in touch and we'll go through what you need.
